Between wisdom and love- with Andreea

Short Biography?
“Yoga is the voyage through which all that I became dissolves, and this way, my nature, that which I am, awakens through this body.”
And that is Andreea’s biography. 😀 The essence and that which matters.
First of all, you have to know that Andreea is one of those persons that when you meet the first time it feels like you have known them for a lifetime. Her energy, presence, big wide smile and contagious laugh envelop you and before you know it, you are life companions, soul mates who share their journey and rejoice!
We met at a Family Constellation session, in Bucharest, after which we talked about books and holistic therapies and exchanged contacts. When together, time flew so fast and whenever we would meet we would get in a trance-like, deep, enriching conversations.
She is a mentor, a friend, a sister and a ‘confidente’. She has done more sports, dancing and yoga combined that anyone I know, and she is also a very experienced massage therapist, and on a path of self-discovery. When she is not teaching yoga, she is leading breath-work sessions or shamanic ceremonies with her partner, Bogdan Racoreanu (a most inspiring, wise human). She is also organising women circle session every now and then and if interested to know more about her, you can find her here.
1. some lines about what are you doing right now. ( work, hobbies, discoveries, what wakes you up in the morning and makes you feel alive)
I facilitate yoga classes, shamanic breath-work sessions and recently, more and more shamanism and currently passing on the rites of Munai Ki. What are they? “They are energetic transmissions that heal the wounds of the past-the karmic & genetic programs and beliefs you inherited. They re-inform your DNA, enabling you to grow a new body that ages, heals, and dies differently.”
I love doing things with my hands, whether its cleaning the house, giving a massage or making candles. I love music and dancing.
What makes me wake up in the morning? At a point, my partner, Bogdan asked me what would I do if I knew that I have a short time to live? My answer was that if I would know that I would never be upset anymore. This is how I wake up in the morning. With curiosity and with the spontaneity of a child.
2. first contact with yoga, and healing in general- when, where and how.
It was in 2012, in Satu Mare, where I was sent by the Sport Group, where I was working at the time. Of course, I did not understand too much at that time. I truly felt what yoga was when I first got to know George Petre from Anahata. It was then that I started to perceive yoga at a more profound level, as well as when I connected with Swami Nityananda Giri (he came to Romania) and I practised with him Kriya Yoga.
3. short reflection- a challenging, key moment or maybe a crisis that is linked with the start of your practice
Yoga sustained me, supported me in difficult times, brought me more clarity and more inner power to get over anything that came my way. In the finding of yoga, something pushed me, I started to search, to deepen the knowledge, while, the shamanism came to me. Hence yoga was a search, however shamanism was always there for me, most natural.

4. magic pill- what is that instrument which helps you most in stressful times?
I simply am, I observe the present state. Whatever I do, presence and vigilance. That is my practice when I am stressed.
5. Who is that one figure, that mentor that you mostly connect with? ( can be anything- human, non human, object or element of nature)
The Great Spirit, that is known under many names and at the same time, the nameless. It is really difficult. I resonate with a lot of spiritual masters, such as George Petre, Swami Nityananda Giri, Bogdan, my partner, Ramana Maharishi, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Anandamayi Ma, Ani Choying Drolma. There are many more I could name but lately I feel like the spiritual master is beyond the persona, the name, and more that Grace that flows through all of us.
6. what brings you on your mat every day? what is your routine?
Its like brushing my teeth or like eating/ its not a practice anymore, it is simply a part of me now.

7. what does yoga mean to you, how does it impact your life?
My aim, in a more profound sense, is to be ‘in yoga’ each and every moment. All the changes that happen in the world are not about the others, but about me. As long as I don’t know who I am I cannot say that the exterior changes coming through an authentic intuition. Hence it is enough to know who I am and all things will find their solution. Yoga supports me in this process and that means it could support you too.
8. some wise words for those that are at the beginning- students and teachers.
“Wisdom is knowing I am nothing,
Love is knowing I am everything,
and between the two my life moves.” Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
